Azerbaijani Prosecutor General announces trial of former Artsakh leaders

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev announced that the investigation of “cases” against former leaders of Artsakh had been completed, Azerbaijani media reported.
Aliyev reportedly said that their “cases will soon be submitted to court”.
“Currently, the defendants and attorneys are familiarizing themselves with the criminal case files. After the familiarization stage, the indictment will be submitted to the court,” the prosecutor said.
Earlier, the term of arrest of the former leaders of Artsakh, Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan, former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, former Foreign Minister David Babayan, former Speaker of Artsakh’s Parliament Davit Ishkhanyan, former Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan, as well as General David Manukyan was extended for 5 months.
