Azerbaijani shooters to skip tournament in Armenia

The Azerbaijani national team will not take part in the European Shooting Championship, scheduled to be held in Yerevan from February 27 to March 5.

The head coach of the national team, Irada Ashumova, stated that the possibility of traveling was not even considered.

“During the 3rd CIS Games, Armenian athletes were provided with security guarantees, yet they did not come and did not compete. Therefore, we also decided to refuse participation in the European Championship. We did not even approach state authorities regarding this matter,” Ashumova said.
