Baku is one step away from signing peace treaty with Yerevan – head of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary committee

Siyavush Novruzov, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Regional Affairs, stated that Azerbaijan is close to signing a peace agreement with Armenia.

“Today, Azerbaijan is just one step away from concluding a peace treaty with Yerevan, but the only obstacle is Armenia’s Constitution,” he noted.

According to Novruzov, the territorial claims enshrined in Armenia’s Constitution are the primary barrier to peace.
