Baku has reacted to a statement issued by Pashinyan’s office, in which Yerevan called for a joint investigation into reports of shootings along the front line and asked Azerbaijan to provide the facts it has about violations.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry called the proposal a “distortion of reality, referring again to Armenia’s large-scale militarization, including the deployment of offensive weapons in border regions.”
“We categorically reject the statement issued by the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office on March 18, 2025, which, along with completely baseless allegations against Azerbaijan, distorts the realities on the ground and the facts of shooting in the border regions. Rather than demonstrating goodwill and ceasing provocations, Yerevan makes abstract and practically unfeasible proposals,” the Azerbaijani side said.
