Baku responds to Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizada commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks on Monday.

“The Armenian Prime Minister’s stance not only demonstrates that Armenia is unwilling to amend its Constitution to address territorial demands and resolve issues in the peace process but also raises concerns about Armenia’s commitment to peace.

Questions remain as to why Armenia continues to link the Minsk Group to the peace agreement, ignoring calls for its dissolution and trying to preserve this outdated mechanism that no longer aligns with the region’s realities. Azerbaijan has rightly demanded the dissolution of this group. Delaying this step casts doubt on the sincerity of Armenia’s intentions,” he said.
