Baku to reply to Yerevan’s peace proposals – Azerbaijani FM

Baku will submit its response proposals on the peace agreement to Yerevan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Đurić.

“On June 24 this year, Azerbaijan sent its responses to Armenia on the draft peace agreement. About 70 days later, Armenia submitted its draft to Azerbaijan. Several important points were excluded from the draft text they submitted. Important points were not included in the draft agreement, and we were told that this is the solution to the issue. In the context of the past historical conflict, the agreement and each of its clauses are very important.

Our recommendation to the Armenian side would be that it should take these issues more seriously. We will soon submit to Armenia the draft that is based on international law and meets our national interests,” Bayramov said.
