Romania is gearing up for its second presidential election campaign. Earlier, the Constitutional Court rejected the candidacies of Calin Georgescu and Diana Sosoacă, noting that the latter had violated the Constitution and democratic norms. Georgescu, who won the first round of elections, has been arrested on charges of money laundering. Alpha News interviewed Romanian MP Varujan Pambuccian to discuss the matter.

“What happened during the elections was an intrusion coming from artificial intelligence used in several networks. This intrusion was able to change people’s ideas and perceptions very easily,” Pambuccian said.
