‘Beware of Pharisees’ – Archbishop Yezras condemns authorities’ actions

Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan, noted that the political repressions against his brother and son are being carried out with blatant violations of the law.

“It is precisely such people that Christ warns about when He says: ‘Beware of the Pharisees.’ And we know that the Pharisees, through various means and tricks, conceal their evil deeds, which stem from a deceitful and treacherous, cowardly and power-hungry, vain and money-loving heart, and they strive to appear righteous—as if they were ‘worshippers’ of God,” Archbishop Yezras said.
