Bishops who joined Pashinyan did so under threats – Narek Karapetyan

Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the “Our Way” national movement, expects that the situation surrounding the Church will be resolved according to canonical order.

Speaking with journalists at the Mother See, Karapetyan said that with this move Nikol Pashinyan wants to show the world that he is not fighting against the Church, but people living in Armenia know well that he is fighting against the Church’s independence.

“He is trying to present this as an internal church issue,” he added.

Karapetyan is convinced that the bishops who joined Pashinyan in his struggle against the Church did so under threats.
