Blinken and Aliyev discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during which the sides discussed the importance of advancing the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a readout on Wednesday.

Secretary Blinken underscored that there is no justification for increased tension on the border and cautioned that aggressive actions and rhetoric from any side would undermine prospects for peace.
