Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has stated that the opening of the Turkish–Armenian and Azerbaijani–Armenian borders could be a key outcome of the peace process between Yerevan and Baku.

According to him, “the parties are close to moving from political agreements to practical steps. Ankara links normalization directly to progress in the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”

Yılmaz emphasized that unblocking borders and transport links would give a powerful boost to the regional economy, expanding trade and strengthening logistical ties.
