Boxer Yuri Sakunts defeats Turkish athlete, winning Czech Boxing Championship 

Armenian boxer Yuri Sakunts defeated his Turkish opponent Richard Alkan at the Czech Boxing Championships in Usti nad Labem.

In the 4th round, Sakunts’ opponent failed to continue the fight, and the referee declared a technical knockout. The boxer dedicated his victory to the selfless soldiers of the legendary Armenian “Arabo” Volunteer Detachment and the Armenian people, emphasizing the importance of national unity and care for the homeland.

Yuri Sakunts is a world and European champion in boxing, world champion in hand-to-hand combat, and European champion in powerlifting. Eight achievements of the athlete are listed in the Guinness World Records.
