The bridge near Kirants village in Armenia’s Tavush region, which, according to the agreement between Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimitation commissions, should pass under Azerbaijan’s control, has been inactive since today, Karen Ghazaryan, a resident of Acharkut, told NEWS.am.

According to him, the traffic is carried out on the alternative Acharkut-Kirants road.

“The police have set up a stronghold on both sides and blocked the bridge,” he said.

The reconstruction work on the alternative road Kirants-Acharkut started on May 19.
