Canadian Armenians refuse to welcome Alen Simonyan’s delegation 

The ARF Canada Central Committee released a statement regarding the visit of the president of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Alen Simonyan to Ottawa.

“Canadian Armenians have no intention of welcoming the visit of the delegation of the current ruling party, who have consistently violated the basic principles of democracy and human rights in Armenia. The regime’s practice of using disproportionate force against the opposition protesters contradicts the principles of democracy. All these are Condemnable acts for the Canadian society, the flag bearer of democracy.

We are convinced that the present regime of Armenia has no right to decide the fate of the status of Artsakh and to predetermine the sovereign borders of Armenia, and therefore, once again condemning their nation-destructive line, the delegation of the regime arriving in Canada in the coming days is considered unwelcome,” the Committee said in a statement.
