Carlitos Gardel Armenian restaurant in Los Angeles’ West Hollywood

Located in Los Angeles’ West Hollywood, the Argentinean restaurant Carlitos Gardel has quickly become a favorite place of entertainment among Hollywood celebrities.

Carlo and Azniv Pozoghlian, who moved from Argentina to the United States in 1996, decided to open a small business, not even suspecting that their restaurant would become so popular.

Here every day, you can meet famous celebrities, businessmen, and senior officials who prefer to spend time in a pleasant atmosphere.

According to Carlo Pozoghlian, his restaurant became famous thanks to Penélope Cruz, Brad Pitt, and other celebrities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many such places were closed, Carlo opened the open-air Astor Piazzolla Saloon.

When the spouses first started their business, Azniv did not trust anyone to work in the kitchen. She prepared all the dishes herself according to her own recipes. Now she has entrusted this work to her son, Girayr, whose work she is quite content with.

According to Azniv, everything has become much easier now. Both her sons have taken over the hardest part of the work.

“But we are always here for them. Maximilian specializes in wine and Girayr in cooking,” she says.

Evenings at Carlitos Gardel are accompanied by delicious meals and Argentine music, often flavored with Yerevan’s urban folklore and serenades.
