A court hearing is taking place at the Anti-Corruption Criminal Court of Yerevan.
Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov, and former minister of defense of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan were accused of overthrowing the constitutional order. The Constitutional Court declared the case unconstitutional.
However, by a ruling dated September 12 of this year, the Court of Cassation overturned the decision to terminate proceedings against Robert Kocharyan, Yuri Khachaturov, and others, and authorized the charges to be reclassified.
