Catherine Colonna: France will soon open a consulate in Syunik province

France has strengthened its defense relations with Armenia and plans to open a consulate in Syunik province, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said in the French national assembly in response to a question from MP Emmanuelle Anthoine.

“The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs have allocated 5 million euros for Armenia and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, and I have decided to increase that assistance to 7 million. We have also strengthened our defense relations with Armenia and we will soon open a consulate in Syunik,” she said.
