Catholicos Aram I contacts Prelate of Western Prelacy over fire consequences in Los Angeles

His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, has contacted the Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, and expressed his concern over the consequences of the massive fire that broke out in Los Angeles.

As Catholicosate’s Cilicia TV reports, His Holiness inquired about the Armenians living there. The report notes that at the moment, a strong storm and wind are fueling the fire to spread despite the efforts of firefighters. The raging fire is spreading most in the Armenian-populated areas such as Pasadena, Glendale, and La Crescenta. According to reports, many Armenian families have already found shelters in safer areas.

Armenian churches have announced that their doors are open to all those who seek refuge there.
