Catholicos Karekin II receives Armenian pilgrims from Iraq
On October 9, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received Armenian pilgrims from Iraq, accompanied by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Iraq, Reverend Fr. Oshagan Gulgulian, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
Having conveyed his love and blessing to the pilgrims, His Holiness congratulated the Iraqi Armenians on the occasion of receiving the episcopal dignity of their leader. The Armenian Patriarch expressed confidence that V. Rev. Father Oshagan will make his leadership service more fruitful by assisting the clergy and the Central Board of the Diocese.
At the meeting, His Holiness urged the Iraqi-Armenian pilgrims to remain committed to their national and spiritual values, preserve their national identity, make every effort to strengthen the Armenian community and bring their useful service to the nation, homeland and Church.
