Catholicos of All Armenians denied visit to Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan in pre-trial detention

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II was denied permission to visit Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan at the pre-trial detention center. The investigator rejected the request, Yerem Sargsyan, the lawyer of the head of the Shirak Diocese, said during the court session.

“There were no grounds for refusal, and the meeting with the Catholicos could not interfere with the investigation in any way,” he said.
