Catholicos of All Armenians leaves for Vatican

On September 15, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, left for the Vatican, where he is scheduled to meet with Pope Leo XIV.

The Catholicos is accompanied by Bishop Daniel Findikyan, Head of the post-graduate department of Gevorgyan Theological Seminary; Archimandrite Garegin Hambardzumyan, Director of the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin; Rev. Fr. Yesayi Grigoryan, Bearer of the Patriarchal Staff; and Rev. Fr. Vahram Melikyan.

In the Vatican, the Supreme Patriarch will be joined by Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Pontifical Legate of Western Europe and Representative of the Catholicos of All Armenians to the Vatican, as well as Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Great Britain and Ireland.
