Catholicos of All Armenians receives Armenian pilgrims from Greece

On October 4, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received Armenian pilgrims who arrived from Greece, accompanied by Locum Tenens and Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Greece Reverend Fr. Khoren Arakelyan at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his conviction that they will return to their country with the spiritual awakening they received at home and with renewed soul and heart in order to dedicate themselves with even greater zeal to building the Motherland.

Speaking about the difficult social situation of the Artsakh Armenians deprived of their homeland, the challenges facing the Armenian people, the problem of preserving the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage in Artsakh, Karekin II noted the importance of consolidating national potential and joint pan-Armenian efforts to overcome and resolve the problems.

The Catholicos also expressed gratitude to the Armenian pilgrims for preserving the national identity, faith and sacred heritage and values inherited from their ancestors in their communities.
