Catholicos of All Armenians receives newly appointed French Ambassador to Armenia

On September 13, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Olivier Decottignies at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

His Holiness discussed the warm relations and cooperation established between the two countries. The Supreme Patriarch emphasized that the Armenian community of France also significantly contributed to the deepening of the Armenian-French friendly ties.

During the conversation, the Catholicos of All Armenians touched upon the difficult situation in the region, expressing his gratitude to the French authorities for their assistance and support.

In turn, the newly appointed Ambassador confirmed that France will continue to provide comprehensive support to Armenia in various spheres, and make efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and security guarantees to Artsakh as well.
