Catholicos of All Armenians receives winner of 2022 State Prize

On October 18, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO of Adobe, who was awarded the RA State Prize for his worldwide contribution to information technology, accompanied by the head of Synopsis Armenia Company Yervand Zoryan and CEO Hovik Musaelyan, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Congratulating Narayen on being awarded the RA State Prize, the Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed his contribution to the IT sphere and noted the importance of his fruitful results that contribute to the progress and well-being of human life, peace, and justice.

Karekin II stressed that the Armenian Church, along with its spiritual mission, was also the creator of Armenian culture and scientific thought, being the defender of the Armenian identity and the guarantor of its longevity.

Narayen, in turn, thanked the Catholicos of All Armenians for the warm welcome, stressing that it is a great honor for him to be in the spiritual center of the Armenian people.

During the meeting, they touched upon the challenges facing the Armenians and forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh, the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh, and issues of Armenia’s security.

They noted the importance of innovative achievements in high technology in overcoming the challenges facing humanity.
