Central Bank of Armenia maintains refinancing rate at 6.75%

At its meeting on September 16, the Central Bank of Armenia decided to keep the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%, according to the weekly macroeconomic review by the Eurasian Development Bank.

Inflation remained within the target range, reaching 3.6% year-over-year in August, up from 3.4% in July.

“At the same time, the Central Bank of Armenia highlights increased risks of rising prices for imported goods and growing inflationary pressure, partly due to expanding domestic demand. We forecast that the rate will remain at its current level through the end of 2025,” the statement reads.
