Central Council of Armenians of Germany condemn police actions on May 28 at Sardarapat Memorial

The Armenians of Germany strongly condemned the police attempts to prevent the Catholicos of All Armenians from entering Sardarapat on the Day of the First Republic of Armenia. 

“The Central Council of Armenians of Germany strongly condemned the unacceptable and shameful actions of the police at the Sardarapat Memorial on May 28—the day of the restoration of Armenian statehood and the founding of the First Republic of Armenia—when an attempt was made to prevent the Catholicos of All Armenians and the clergy, whose purpose was to offer prayers and pay tribute to the heroes who fell for their faith and homeland, from entering the memorial complex,” the Council said in a statement.
