On August 31, Russia’s State Duma introduced a draft Federal Law “On Amendments to Article 14 of the Federal Law ‘On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation'”.
In this regard, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has received many questions about what exactly the changes may be and whether they will affect EAEU citizens.
The EEC explained that the EAEU treaty ensures that citizens of member states are freely allowed to pursue employment in another member state.
Therefore, the changes being considered by the State Duma will not affect citizens of EAEU countries in any way.
