Cher to receive Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award at 2026 Grammys

Legendary American singer of Armenian descent, actress, and pop icon Cher will receive the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
She will be joined by other celebrated artists, including Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, and Chaka Khan. Nigerian multi-instrumentalist Fela Kuti and singer Whitney Houston will be recognized posthumously.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for January 31, 2026—one day before the main Grammy event.
Cher has previously been honored with an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy, a Golden Globe, the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and the CFDA Fashion Award. Over the course of her career, she has received more than 250 international awards in music, television, and film.
