Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator reopens in Istanbul

After the restoration, the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Istanbul’s Kuzguncuk was reopened under the leadership of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, the Armenian newspaper Agos published in Istanbul reported.

Following the prayer of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Sahak Mashalian consecrated the church, after which he congratulated all the faithful on the reopening.

The ceremony was attended by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, as well as a number of members from the opposition and ruling parties.
