CIS ombudspersons hold their first meeting in Minsk

The first meeting of the Human Rights Commission of the Commonwealth of Independent States, whose activities are aimed at boosting the humanitarian cooperation of ombudspersons in the CIS, took place in Minsk, Belarus.

The commission includes ombudspersons from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatyana Moskalkova, was elected head of the Commission on Human Rights of the CIS.
