Concert dedicated to Hovhannes Tumanyan 155th anniversary held in Russian Krasnodar

On February 24, the Hovhannes Tumanyan Cultural and Educational Center in Krasnodar, Russia, hosted a concert dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the great Armenian poet and writer.

The event was opened by the ‘Kilikia’ choir under the direction of Rita Aroyan. The concertmaster was Nonna Arshakyan.

A short movie made by KubanArm Media Group showed the life and works of the great writer.

The students of the center read Tumanyan’s famous works. ‘Zartonk’ drum group, ‘Anush’ folk dance ensemble, and soloist of ‘Jivani’ ensemble Mariam Mkrtchyan also performed at the event.
