Constantine Orbelian appointed executive director and music director of New York City Opera

World-renowned Armenian conductor, pianist, producer, four-time Grammy nominee, and member of the Armenian Assembly Constantine Orbelian has been appointed Executive and Music Director of the New York City Opera.

The maestro has held the posts of music director and conductor of this theater since 2021.

“This opportunity allows me to blend my passion for artistic excellence with mindful and positive stewardship, ensuring that the cherished traditions of this great institution continue to thrive,” Orbelian said.
