Construction of Surb Mariam Astvatsatsin Cathedral continues in Russia’s Krasnodar

The construction of the Cathedral of Surb Mariam Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) of the Krasnodar and North Caucasus Dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church continues in Krasnodar, Russia.

The construction is expected to be completed by the middle of 2026. The cathedral will be unique in many respects for the south of Russia: the height of the church with a cross is 45 meters, the capacity is more than 300 people, the construction area is 808 square meters, the landscaping area is 540 square meters, and the total area of the building is 1350.8 square meters. 

The construction work is financed by the Charity Fund for Assistance to the Construction of the Cathedral, established in June 2021.
