The dispute over the “Cows’ Garden”, a property belonging to the Armenian Church in Jerusalem, is currently being addressed in court. In a separate case, the Armenian Church faces allegations of owing millions of dollars in unpaid taxes. Alpha News spoke to a member of the Armenian community of Jerusalem, Hakob Jrnazyan, about this topic.

“The issue of the ‘Cows’ Garden’ may remain in court for years. But the territory will remain Armenian, the Armenian presence on this land will persist, because we are protecting this territory to ensure that no one can claim this land,” he said.

According to him, there are two groups of lawyers in the court.

“Our interests in court are represented by two groups of lawyers. One consists of local attorneys, and the other includes Armenian lawyers representing the Armenian community,” Jrnazyan said.
