Criminal case initiated by Armenia’s Investigative Committee for obstruction or coercion related to rallies

Father Aram Asatryan, a clergyman of the Hovhannavank Church, stated during a broadcast on Public Television of Armenia that he participated in opposition rallies under instructions from higher church authorities.

Based on this statement, Armenia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case under the article “Obstruction or Coercion to Hold or Participate in a Gathering.”
