Criminal case on hooliganism initiated against Artur Chakhoyan and Mesrop Manukyan

As part of criminal proceedings related to the incident at Yerevan’s Nor Nork administration office, charges have been brought against activist Artur Chakhoyan and Mesrop Manukyan, a member of the Mother Armenia faction of the Yerevan City Council, Armenpress reports, citing its sources.
Earlier, Investigative Committee spokesperson Kima Avdalyan announced on Facebook that the two individuals are being charged under paragraphs 1 and 3 of part 2, Article 297 of the Armenian Criminal Code, on the grounds of hooliganism. According to the charges, the offense was carried out by a group of individuals using information or communication technologies. Avdalyan also informed that criminal charges were filed against four other individuals under Article 195, paragraph 2, and paragraph 5 of part 2 of the Armenian Criminal Code for committing physical violence as part of a group. Among the accused is Tigran Ter-Margaryan, head of the Nor Nork administrative district.
As reported earlier, a fight took place on April 29 at the Nor Nork district administration office, which started after the publication of a video criticizing the renovation of kindergartens. The video shows Tigran Ter-Margaryan, the head of the Nor Nork administrative district, hitting Artur Chakhoyan.
