A criminal case has been opened against the schoolchildren detained following the incident at St. Anne’s Church involving Prime Minister Pashinyan’s security detail.

“In the course of the preliminary investigation into the criminal case opened in connection with the incident that took place at St. Anne’s Church on March 29, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against D.M. under Part 1 of Article 297 (hooliganism) and Part 3 of Article 452 (interference with the lawful official or political activities of a public official) of the Criminal Code. M.M. has been charged under Article 46-297, Part 1 (aiding hooliganism) and Article 46-452, Part 3 (aiding interference with the lawful official or political activities of a public official). G.G. is charged under Part 1 of Article 46-297 (organizing hooliganism) and Part 3 of Article 46-452 (organizing interference with the lawful official or political activities of a public official),” the Investigative Committee’s statement reads.
