CSTO Council of Defense Ministers holds regular meeting in Bishkek: Armenia again absent

A regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers was held in Bishkek on May 28. In addition to the Russian minister, the meeting was attended by defense ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, alongside the CSTO Secretary General and Chief of the Joint Staff. The Armenian side once again ignored the event.

During the meeting, officials reviewed and approved a number of documents concerning the military cooperation among CSTO member states for 2026-2030, arrangements for joint training of command structures and forces within the CSTO collective security system, and improvement of the issues of management of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), among other matters.
