CSTO describes situation in Caucasus region as ‘unstable’

Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov drew attention to the ongoing unstable situation in the Caucasus region, TASS reports.

“The process of its normalization continues, the central aspect of which is the work on the demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and preparation for the conclusion of a peace agreement. The attempts of the Western countries to consolidate their influence in the South Caucasus promote tensions in the region,” he said.
