‘Cvety Armenii’ Folk Dance Ensemble celebrates its 25th anniversary

The concert of the folk-dance ensemble ‘Cvety Armenii’ (‘Flowers of Armenia’ – ed.) on the occasion of the ensemble’s 25th anniversary was held in Moscow, Russia.

The ensemble created by Hayk Sahakyan continues today to promote traditions of Armenian dance art in Russia under the leadership of Armen Sahakyan.

The huge program of the anniversary concert featured the work done over a quarter of a century and demonstrated the diversity of Armenian dance in its best traditions.

Vladimir Gabbe, the head of the Cultural Center of the Armenian Embassy in Russia, made a welcoming speech in the official part of the program. He stressed the huge contribution of Hayk Sahakyan to the formation of the team and the efforts of Armen Sahakyan in strengthening and developing the life of the ensemble at the highest level.

Gabbe awarded Armen Sahakyan the honorary medal of the House of Lazarev “for the special contribution to the development of Armenian dance art.”
