Czech Senate adopts resolution on humanitarian needs of Artsakh Armenians

The Senate of the Czech Republic has adopted a resolution on the humanitarian needs and situation of Armenians in Artsakh.

The resolution condemns all forms of violence against the population of Artsakh and urges all parties to the conflict to respect the norms of international humanitarian law.

The resolution highlights the importance of providing humanitarian assistance and support to people in the affected region and urges the Czech Government to provide assistance within its capabilities, especially to the most vulnerable, such as mothers with children and unaccompanied children.

The resolution calls on Azerbaijan to allow access of international observers to Artsakh to monitor the treatment of the local population and urges all parties involved to refrain from damaging cultural and historical monuments on the territory of Artsakh as well as preserve world cultural heritage.
