David Babayan wins bronze in Russian Judo Cup

The Russian Judo Cup ended in Nizhny Novgorod on December 17, with athletes from 45 regions of Russia competing.

David Babayan became the bronze medalist in the heavyweight championship (+100kg).

“I am not satisfied because I always aim for the highest result. Due to injuries, I was able to compete in only two tournaments this season. I hope that in 2024 I will be able to match the catch phrase ‘I came, I saw, I conquered.’ As for the throws at the Cup, I think that the best defense is attack. That’s why I always go ahead, regardless of the score,” Babayan said.
