Artsakh was the homeland not only of Artsakh people but also of all Armenians, David Galstyan, the head of the Justice faction of the Artsakh National Assembly, told Alpha News.
“We continue to cherish in our souls the Republic of Artsakh, both legally and in all other aspects. Tragically, we are not in our homeland now, but this is not a reason for anyone to say that Artsakh no longer exists. Artsakh was the homeland not only for the people of Artsakh but also for all Armenians. Artsakh was liberated not through the people of Artsakh, but thanks to the joint efforts and struggle of the entire Armenian people,” Galstyan said.
According to him, when the actions do not match the words, defeat is imminent.
“We are citizens of the Republic of Armenia; we have passports of the Republic of Armenia; our registration address is the city of Stepanakert. Nikol Pashinyan is now discussing whether we are citizens of Armenia or not. But on August 5, 2019, he did not hesitate to announce publicly to the whole world that Artsakh is Armenia. That’s it. Today, this man has made a U-turn. He states that the people of Artsakh, the Armenians of Artsakh, are not citizens of Armenia, and he declares this to the same several tens of thousands of people to whom he said that Artsakh is Armenia. When a person says one thing and does the opposite, we suffer losses and defeats. And those responsible for these defeats point fingers to justify themselves to some extent,” Galstyan said.
The Member of the Artsakh National Assembly also notes that some people still continue to sleep in cars today, despite the social assistance provided by the government.
