Davit Galstyan: Whoever speculates on the Artsakh dissolution decree is an Azeri agent in Armenia

The Artsakh institutions do not pose any threat to the Armenian government, Davit Galstyan, member of the “Justice” faction of the Artsakh National Assembly, told Alpha News.

“I have not seen the decree by which Artsakh will be dissolved on January 1. We should not make a reference to some paper and say whether this paper exists or not. Today, we, with our activities, are a vivid testimony that the institutions of the Republic of Artsakh are operating in Armenia, even if it is pro bono. In response to government officials, we must clearly understand that the Artsakh institutions do not pose any threat to the government of Armenia and are not competitors.

Azerbaijan previously had a precondition for the peace treaty that it should not include Artsakh, Nagorno Karabakh, or any self-determination rights of Artsakh or the phrase Nagorno Karabakh in general. Now we see that this is the only precondition. Following the Armenian authorities’ attempts to say that Artsakh no longer exists and accept Azerbaijan’s precondition, we see the next precondition that the agreement should be without border delimitation,” Galstyan said.

According to our interlocutor, whoever speculates on the decree on the dissolution of Artsakh is an Azeri agent in Armenia.

“I am convinced that this decree has been revoked. Whoever will speculate on that decree of September 28, saying that the state institutions of Artsakh are allegedly dissolved, then they are Azeri agents in the collective field of Armenia. Based on all this, we should not refer to any document. We just need to show with our work, with our daily work, that we exist, we act, and we will continue to do so because it is in the interests of Armenia,” the Artsakh MP said.

Davit Galstyan urged the Armenian authorities not to interfere with the activities of Artsakh state institutions.

“I am convinced that this dissolution document is only beneficial to Azerbaijan. I don’t want to think that there is any Armenian who would benefit from this document. If the authorities do not help the further activities of Artsakh state institutions, at least they should not hinder them. I urge those people who, taking the dissolution document as a basis, are trying to win political dividends or mislead the public to say that the president does not have powers to dissolve Artsakh,” Galstyan concluded.
