Ahmet Davutoglu, the leader of the Future opposition party and former Turkish prime minister, touched upon the events taking place in the region, relations between Iran and Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan, as well as the need to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia, Armenpress reports, citing Turkish DHA.

Davutoglu said Turkey did the right thing by helping Azerbaijan during the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh, but at the same time he noted that Turkey should normalize relations with Armenia.

“Turkey should quickly normalize its relations with Armenia. Border gates and embassies should be opened on both sides, and the spread of fire from the Middle East to the Caucasus should be prevented,” the former Turkish prime minister said.18:35
