Deportivo Armenio FC presents jersey honoring Charles Aznavour’s 100th anniversary

The embassies of France and Armenia hosted an event marking the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour on May 28, with the Deportivo Armenio football club presenting a jersey in honor of the legendary singer.

Ambassadors Romain Nadal and Hovhannes Virabyan as well as President of Deportivo Armenio Luciano Nakis gave speeches during the meeting held at the French Embassy. Nicolas Aznavour, the Chair of the Aznavour Foundation, delivered a video message.

During the event, musician Gagik Gasparyan performed the great singer’s songs on the duduk.
