Development of strategic partnership with US is Armenia’s sovereign right – Peskov

Russia values relations with Armenia, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the signing of a strategic partnership deal between Yerevan and Washington.

“The development of the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States is the sovereign right of Yerevan. We have our own bilateral relations with Armenia. We value these relations and intend to develop them further. In addition to bilateral aspects, the aspects of our interaction within the integration processes, including the EAEU, are very important for us. All of this is a cooperation that provides significant benefits for Armenia and its people,” he said.

Earlier, foreign ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said that Armenian foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will sign a document on strategic partnership between the two countries in Washington on Tuesday.
