Everyone in the Diaspora criticizes and condemns the campaign being carried out against the Armenian Apostolic Church, Mourad Papazian, member of the ARF Bureau and co-chair of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF), said in an interview with Alpha News.

“I have not seen, met, or heard of a single organization that would support this campaign. It is clear that Pashinyan’s campaign against the Church is not accepted in the Diaspora. Everyone criticizes and condemns it. The Diaspora says this is yet another irresponsible and shortsighted policy of Pashinyan that weakens Armenia,” Papazian noted.

According to him, Pashinyan’s mission is precisely to weaken Armenia’s positions and divide the people, with the Church being the latest target.

“Pashinyan is now preparing for the upcoming elections, and this is another act against the Church. The Prime Minister wants to destroy those forces that oppose his policies, that disagree with them—he wants to suppress everyone. What he is doing now is illegal. Pashinyan himself wants to appoint the Catholicos of All Armenians, even though this contradicts the Constitution,” Papazian emphasized.
