There have been attempts to develop concepts for a new constitution in Armenia in recent years, and it can be said that these concepts have, in fact, been developed, Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan said during the briefing on Thursday.
“Now our task is to develop a new text of the Constitution, not a new concept. We have to do our best to have the text of the draft Constitution ready for the 2026 elections. After that, of course, a decision will be made to hold a referendum,” she said.
Galyan noted that the new Constitution will not introduce any changes to the government system.
