Dutch Parliament adopts two motions on Armenia and Artsakh

By an overwhelming majority of votes, the Dutch Parliament has adopted two motions: one on military support for Armenia and the other on ethnic cleansing in Artsakh.

In the motion on military support, the Dutch parliament has noted that following the attack on Artsakh, Azerbaijan announced further attacks on Armenia.

The parliament has asked the government to urge other EU member states to respond positively to a possible request for military assistance from Armenia.

In the second motion, taking into account the UN definition of ethnic cleansing, the parliament has asked the government to judge whether the exodus of Armenians from Artsakh after the 9-month blockade and the attack on the enclave falls under the definition of ethnic cleansing.
